Motorhome Experiences of Judy and Lyle Dean Lebsack

November 8, 2021

The photo to the right shows Michigan in its most beautiful time of year, but with signs that its time to head south.

We plan to pick up the motor home in Northern Kentucky where it was repaired from a cascade of problems centering around coolant leaks/ruptures.  Lyle wants to spend a few days at the repair facility, checking out all systems before we head to Fort Myers.  Judy enthusiastically endorses that idea.

Arrived at Freightliner in Walton, KY where repairs were being made to the motor home.  Nearly complete when we arrived, including a used inverter/charger Lyle managed to find at an RV salvage yard in Kentucky.  No new ones are available right now!

Chilly and rainy as we ventured south from Walton.  Both of us a little apprehensive about what else might go wrong.  Nothing did, so we had overnight stops near Nashville, Macon and Bushnell, FL  Lyle

had made a tentative appointment with his favorite RV shop owner in Alva, FL, just in case we needed more repairs.

While we were in Bushnell, the middle roof air conditioner seemed not to be performing correctly.  Our tech in Alva confirmed the compressor was on its last leg.  One new air conditioner later, we made it to Gulf Waters RV Resort--home for the winter.  Happy to be here with nearly everything intact, except Lyle's bank account!  Judy took this late afternoon photo of the coach at "home."
