Motorhome Experiences of Judy and Lyle Dean Lebsack

Sunny and breezy in Charlevoix today and most of us used the day to catch up on boat work or shop or both.   We located a small channel that goes around an island in Round Lake where Charlevoix is located.  As many years as we've been coming to Charlevoix, nobody knew about it.  The tiny channel goes through a wooded area and is big enough for a dinghy.  Very peaceful little excursion.  And it was Katie's turn to drive the dinghy.

We enjoyed a farmers market this morning.  Photos are posted.   Drivers here are very courteous for pedestrians crossing the busy street.  An exception was a young woman who seemed bent on running down Lyle.  After she passed--on her cell phone--he noticed she was from Illinois.  Must be how the term FIP started.

Happy hour was on Ron and Kathy's Kat Nap this afternoon.  Kathy featured a special boat drink--something with a little vodka, cranberry juice, club soda and, I think, lemonade. Light and refreshing. Dinner at Terry's near the harbor.  Very good food--especially the sauteed perch!

The update from Sea Haven:  Repairs should be completed this afternoon with a sea trial in the morning.  If all goes well, they'll meet us in Bay Harbor tomorrow evening.

Several of us may fuel up in Charlevoix at Ward Brothers (the only place) where diesel is $2.83 a gallon.  Second best on the trip so far.
